Sessions like this are so weird for me... But weird in an absolutely amazing way. The oldest two kids (Jayme and Harrison)... I used to babysit them. I used to change their diapers. That probably embarrasses them, but it's so crazy how time flies. Now Ricky and Lori have 3 beautiful children with amazing personalities, just like their parents! Yesterday, I was itching to get my camera out and capture some of this powdery goodness. Misty and her little girl, Autumn, live down the street from me and were willing to brave the storm for half an hour at sunset. So we walked to the church in our neighborhood to get do a quick session. I'm so glad they did. Check out this magical mommy & me session in the beautiful Memphis snow! When God laid it on Rachel and Tyler's hearts to adopt, they had no idea how long of a process they were about to experience. Two years later, they received the call they'd been praying for. However, they had no idea their prayer would be answered in surplus. The Salyer family would be growing by 2 beautiful little girls - Georgia and Hadley.
After getting to photograph the two of them with their sweet baby girls back in September, I knew it'd be hard to not show these beautiful babies off for a full 6 months, but looking back on these images... I'm so happy to get to share them today - a day dedicated to love. Adoption is so incredibly beautiful. Enjoy!
